Making Solar Energy Directly Usable

From PV Module to Self-Sufficient Direct Charging Station

The LiON Box Sun combines an existing PV module with battery storage and direct-charging technology in a compact system.

The solar energy generated is stored in the LiON Box Sun and made available directly via the LiON Splitter for charging e-bikes or e-scooters. A grid connection is not required for operation.

Thinking Ahead About Existing Locations

Simply retrofit solar charging infrastructure instead of building it from scratch

The LiON Box Sun is particularly well-suited for locations where canopies or suitable mounting surfaces for PV modules are already in place.

Retrofit Solution

Use Existing Infrastructure for Self-Sufficient Charging

Instead of installing a completely new solar system, the LiON Box Sun is integrated into an existing site infrastructure. A suitable PV module serves as the energy source, while battery storage and direct-charging technology are compactly combined in the charging station.

Continue to use existing mounting surfaces
No power connection is required for operation
Can be expanded modularly to two charging points on a single PV module as needed

Bicycle Shelters

Supplement existing canopies at businesses, public facilities, or mobility hubs with self-sufficient direct charging stations.

Garages and Outbuildings

Use suitable roof and mounting surfaces for a PV module and a compact direct charging point.

Existing bicycle parking spaces

Add a self-sufficient charging option to existing parking areas without having to install a completely new solar system.

The location is crucial: The PV module, orientation, shading, and charging requirements must be properly configured for the specific application.
