Making solar energy directly usable

From the PV module to a self-sufficient direct charging point

The LiON Box Sun combines an existing PV module with battery storage and direct charging technology in a compact system.

The solar energy generated is stored in the LiON Box Sun and made available via the LiON Splitter directly for charging e-bikes or e-scooters. A mains connection is not required for operation.

Rethinking existing sites

Simply retrofit solar charging infrastructure, rather than building it from scratch

The LiON Box Sun is particularly suitable for sites where canopies or suitable mounting surfaces for PV modules are already in place.

Retrofit solution

Making use of existing infrastructure for self-sufficient charging

Instead of installing a completely new solar system, the LiON Box Sun is integrated into an existing site infrastructure. A suitable PV module serves as the energy source, whilst battery storage and direct charging technology are compactly combined within the charging station.

Continue to use existing mounting surfaces
No mains connection is required for operation
Can be expanded in a modular manner to two charging points on a single PV module, if required

Bicycle shelters

Supplement existing canopies at businesses, public facilities or transport hubs with self-sufficient direct charging facilities.

Garages and outbuildings

Make use of suitable roof and mounting surfaces for a PV module and a compact direct charging point.

Existing cycle parking spaces

Supplement existing parking areas with a self-sufficient charging facility without having to install a whole new solar system.

The location is crucial: The PV module, orientation, shading and charging requirements must be designed to suit the specific application.
