Designed for the actual e-bike fleet in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, e-bikes purchased from specialist retailers are the most common type of e-bike used. The LiON Box X is designed precisely with this practical reality in mind: it is reliable, suitable for everyday use and designed for multiple users.
Planning certainty through compatibility
Rather than debates amongst manufacturers, the key question is: does it work in everyday use? The Box X is designed for the standard powertrain systems in the DACH region and is therefore suited to the actual local vehicle fleet.
Note: Manufacturers’ figures are provided as examples of systems commonly available on the market and do not claim to represent exact market shares.
More users, shorter waiting times
E-bikes are being used more frequently and are staying at the charging point for longer. With a range of charging options, the Box X reduces waiting times for staff, customers and visitors.
Designed for today’s battery reality
High battery capacities mean longer usage times and place greater demands on the installation site. The Box X is designed for continuous daily use in businesses and public spaces.
- Typical battery capacities today: 625 to 750 Wh (depending on the model)
- Technical focus: robust everyday use rather than special cases
- Suitable for multi-user sites (businesses, retail, local authorities, property)
| What’s happening in the market | What the LiON Box X does with it |
|---|---|
| The proportion of e-bikes in the DACH region is high | Charging infrastructure is moving from being an optional extra to becoming standard equipment |
| Common drive systems dominate everyday life | A compatibility argument rather than a debate about manufacturers |
| High battery capacities result in longer charging times | Batch loading reduces waiting times and bottlenecks |
| More users per location | A scalable architecture rather than single-point logic |
