,ONgineer , and loyoubi present the loyoubi EVO driven by LiON

The new e-bike charging station combines excellent product design with ONgineer's proven direct-charging technology.

Design Meets Direct Shopping: ONgineer and loyoubi Team Up

ONgineer ONgineer , based in Espelkamp, and loyoubi (Jordan Reflektoren GmbH & Co. KG, Langenfeld) are jointly introducing the loyoubi EVO driven by LiON. The new e-bike charging station combines loyoubi’s multi-award-winning design with ’s direct-charging technology, thereby expanding both companies’ product portfolios.

Two strengths, one product

As the number of e-bikes increases, so does the need for high-quality charging infrastructure. Municipalities, businesses, hotels, recreational facilities, and cultural institutions are looking for solutions that are technically reliable and, at the same time, blend harmoniously into their surroundings.

This is exactly where the partnership comes in: loyoubi stands for sophisticated product design in the field of urban micromobility, whil ONgineer brings its proven direct-charging technology to the joint product. Users can charge their e-bike directly from the battery or the designated charging port—without needing their own charger or an additional charging cable. The LiON Splitters are compatible with approximately 95 percent of the e-bike models commonly used in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This technology is now also integrated into the loyoubi EVO.

Design that enhances the location

The loyoubi EVO is not intended to be a traditional charging station, but rather a high-quality design element for public spaces. Its clean, minimalist design blends seamlessly into city centers, hotel complexes, corporate campuses, and shopping centers, while also making it clear that convenient e-bike charging is available there.

For operators, the charging station thus serves more than just a technical purpose: it becomes a visible service offering and highlights a location’s bike-friendliness. This creates added value—especially in places where the goal is to specifically target e-bike commuters or cycling tourists.

Direct loading without compatibility issues

At the heart of the loyoubi EVO is ONgineer's direct-charging technology. Instead of bringing their own charger, users connect their e-bike directly to the battery or to the bike's designated charging port. No additional cables or power adapters are required.

This eliminates common everyday hassles: forgotten chargers, incompatible cables, and complicated operation are a thing of the past. At the same time, it reduces the burden on operators of having to keep various chargers or adapters on hand.

The LiON splitters available for selection are designed to work with the most common battery systems from leading e-bike manufacturers and are compatible with approximately 95 percent of the models commonly found in the DACH region.

Comments on the Partnership

“In loyoubi, we’ve found a partner that approaches design with the same dedication we bring to developing charging infrastructure. The loyoubi EVO demonstrates that high-quality design and convenient direct charging are not mutually exclusive. It provides our customers with a solution that convincingly combines technical functionality and sophisticated design.”

Claus-Martin Mündel, Managing Director of ONgineer GmbH

“We’re excited that our partnership with ONgineer is taking loyoubi to a whole new level technologically, and that the new EVO version sets us apart from other products on the market—both functionally and aesthetically. With the new EVO, ONgineer and loyoubi are creating a truly unique selling point in the field of charging technology for e-bikes and scooters.”

Stefan Herx, CEO of loyoubi (Jordan Reflektoren GmbH & Co. KG)

Portfolio Expansion with Clear Positioning

For ONgineer , the loyoubi EVO complements the existing product lineup. The company continues to offer its own LiON products—including the LiON Box X and LiON Box S as grid-connected charging solutions, the self-contained LiON Tree, the LiON Rack, and the LiON FixAir service and repair station.

The loyoubi EVO driven by LiON is designed for municipalities, businesses, hotels, housing associations, and other facility operators who, in addition to reliable charging infrastructure, place particular emphasis on design and the quality of the visitor experience. Sales are handled through ONgineer.
