Which e-bike charging station is suitable for municipal locations?

That depends on the location and the required function. For existing cycle parking spaces or administrative premises, for example, the mains-powered LiON Box X is suitable. LiON Tree and LiON Rack are self-contained complete systems for public spaces, tourist destinations or temporary locations.

Does every charging point require a mains connection?

No. The LiON Box X is mains-powered. The LiON Tree and LiON Rack, on the other hand, have their own solar power supply with battery storage and can therefore also be used at locations without an existing mains connection .

Can LiON Tree and LiON Rack be used seasonally?

Yes. The mobile versions are installed using ballast and do not require a foundation. This makes them suitable for seasonal or temporary locations, and they can be relocated or dismantled should requirements change.

Can the charging stations be customised?

Yes. The LiON Box can be customised to the client’s specifications. LiON Tree and LiON Rack also offer large display areas for city marketing, tourist information, event announcements, sponsorship or other local authority content.

Can different e-bikes be charged directly?

Yes. ONgineer’s direct-charging technology provides a range of charging plugs directly at the charging point. This means that various common e-bike systems can be used without the need for a dedicated charger.

Can existing cycle parking spaces be retrofitted?

Yes. Provided the structural conditions are suitable, the LiON Box X can be installed on existing parking racks or on a wall. Alternatively, combined parking and charging solutions are available with the LiON Stand and other ONgineer systems.

Are there any services available for cyclists?

Yes. With the LiON FixAir, local facilities can be equipped with an air pump and tools for carrying out minor repairs on bicycles. This is ideal, for example, for tourist destinations, cycle paths, leisure facilities or staff sites.

Publicly accessible ONgineer charging points can be listed free of charge in the E-Station app. This enables users to find charging points in their vicinity and plan them into their journey.

Can the charging infrastructure be expanded at a later date?

Yes. The charging infrastructure can be planned on a site-by-site basis and, if necessary, expanded to include additional charging points, parking facilities or services .
