General description

ONgineer strives to make its digital offerings as accessible as possible to all users, regardless of physical, sensory, or technical limitations. This is based on the requirements of the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG) and EU Directive 2019/882 (EAA).

Technical standards

Accessibility is pursued in accordance with the standards of EN 301 549, taking into account the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 / 2.2 at conformity level AA.

degree of fulfillment

The website currently meets most of the requirements of WCAG 2.1 AA. Optimizations are being made on an ongoing basis.

Known existing barriers

– PDF documents (data sheets) are not yet fully accessible.
– Some individual forms (e.g., contact form, checkout) are not yet fully optimized for screen readers.
– Dynamic content in the online shop (shopping cart updates) does not currently have ARIA live regions.

test procedure

Accessibility is checked through internal testing with Google Lighthouse, axe DevTools, and screen readers (NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS/iOS).
